Growing up, my Mom would let us pick what she made for dinner on our birthdays. It was always fun to choose our favorite dish. Often times, this was my dinner of choice on my birthday. It’s hard to not love manicotti. When I left

I don’t know about you, but I could go to Olive Garden and be completely satisfied just eating their salad and breadsticks. Anyone else?? This salad is a cinch to throw together and will give the restaurant’s version a run for their money.

All you need is a head of romaine lettuce, sweet cherry tomatoes, peperoncini’s, shaved asiago parmesan romano cheese blend (or you can just use freshly shredded Romano), seasoned croutons, kalamata olives, purple onion, freshly ground black pepper and Olive Garden’s Italian dressing, which can be purchased at any grocery store. Toss all the ingredients together and serve along side your favorite dinner entree, or enjoy for lunch on it’s own.

  1. Toss all ingredients together and serve immediately.
  2. Note: If you will not eat the entire salad in one sitting, I would recommend adding the dressing and croutons to each serving individually so that the leftover salad will store well in the refrigerator.
Italian meatballs and marinara sauce

Italian meatballs and marinara sauce

This is a classic, delicious recipe for Italian style meatballs served with marinara sauce. You can serve this recipe over pasta, or on toasted french bread with melted mozzarella cheese for an amazing meatball sub. I prefer to double the recipe and serve over my pasta of choice for dinner, then use the leftovers for meatball subs the next day.
