  1. Soak the dates in the hot water until softened, this will take approximately 3 minutes. Place the dates and the water in a high speed blender or food processor until combined. Add the tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, brown deli mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and smoked black pepper in blender and pulse until smooth.
